I had done the transparency exercise for color theory, an exercise which involves picking two parent colors out of the Color-Aid pack and finding a third color to represent the middle mixture, and designed the overlapping blocks with the holes punched through to demonstrate the concept. I decided to revisit the idea for this project, initially attempting to work in the whole array of basic color theories, but eventually whittled the piece down into the cleaner structure above that still manages to demonstrate a few of the most fundamental ideas.
